Updates from Manassas Park Middle School - 9/14/2018

Week 3 Complete!

Time FLIES when you're learning and having fun! It's amazing that we have already finished three weeks of school - at this point students are starting to take their first quizzes and tests in class and are fully involved in all the different manners of learning we use here at the Middle School. Students should have checked out or chosen a book for reading daily enjoyment (and practice) and they have hopefully been coming home excited about their school day, telling you all about the great projects they are doing in class!

Next week our sports teams begin their seasons, so come out and support the MPMS Athletics teams! Girl's track starts on Tuesday at home, boys football starts their season on Thursday at Ronald Reagan Middle School in Haymarket, and Boys Soccer and Girls Volleyball start on Monday September 24 with home games against Metz Middle School!

Which class has the better handshakes?

Let us know what you thought about Laptop Deployment!

Thanks for everyone who collected their laptop during Back to School. If you have not collected your laptop yet, you should visit the front office to discuss completing infosnap and paying the $25 technology fee. Once those two parts are complete, we will distribute the laptop to your child.

And we greatly value feedback about the device deployment process. Please complete a quick survey telling us what you liked about this year's process, as well as areas where we can continue to improve. This feedback is taken very seriously (hence no video this year!!) so please be honest in your responses! (Click on the button below)

Thank you!

Have you completed your Free/Reduced meals application?

Free and Reduced meals are available to qualifying families based on household income. This is an annual program, meaning you must reapply every year in order to take advantage of this benefit. (Link is to the application information page of our website.)

Free meals mean your student receives both breakfast and lunch for free for the 2018-19 school year.

Reduced meal prices are $0.30 for breakfast and $0.40 for lunch for the 2018-19 school year.

The application is open and available for ALL families to see if they qualify, but if the paperwork is not completed in the first 30 days of school, all meals charged to start the school year will be billed as full price. Submit your application today!
