Canadian British Parliamentary Debate Championships
SEDA was proud to host the 2019 Canadian British Parliamentary Debate Championship from December 6th to 8th. Saskatoon saw 152 debaters from all over the country compete over the course of 3 days.

Our volunteer judges included university debaters, provincial chaperones and coaches, parents, teachers, long-time coaches, former coaches, SEDA alumni, and long-time community volunteers. Thank you for taking time out of your weekend to make this event happen. We are incredibly appreciative of this dedicated pool of judges that helped make this an incredible experience for the many youth who competed. Your willingness to give back to the debate community does not go unnoticed. Thank you.
Winners of the 2019 Canadian British Parliamentary Debate Championship
Congratulations to the Senior BP champions, Nick Abernathy and Matthew Farrell from Nova Scotia, who were awarded the Steven Penner Shield. Steven Penner was a brilliant debater, superb coach, and and outstanding organizer who was always willing to give of himself to help others.

- January 24th: Tournament 9, Elementary, hosted by Greystone Heights in Saskatoon
- January 24th: Tournament 10, Elementary, Hosted by Regina Huda School in Regina
- February 8th: Tournament 11, All divisions, hosted by the USDS in Saskatoon.
