"My Lord God, I have no idea where I am going...." ~ Thomas Merton
Unclear about your life's direction or purpose? Worried about the future? Searching for clarity to what God's desire is for your life? Join us THIS Thursday for Dinner and Discernment.
The word discernment comes from the Latin word discernere- to sift or separate. In today’s terms it basically means: the ability to see and understand people, things, or situations clearly and intelligently- to help you make wise life choices with wisdom and insight.
In spiritual terms: Discernment is rooted in the understanding that God is always at work in our lives-inviting, directing, guiding and drawing us into the fullness of life. Discernment seeks to discover God's presence in the ordinary events of our lives and to help us follow the direction and guidance God gives us through grace.
Perhaps you would like to learn and grow in making the skill of discernment apart of your life… We are offering you the opportunity to come for a simple dinner and conversation on discernment on Thursdays once a month from 7pm, to 8pm. This is followed by Eucharistic Adoration & Compline in the Linehan Chapel. These two rich traditions of our Church help settle the mind and heart and serve as a peaceful connection between God, the world and ourselves.
Come again or for the first time to the next Dinner & Discernment THIS Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 7pm in GAC 151. RSVP Below!
