RCHS Wrestling

At the Wrestling Sectional Tournament, Francisco Campos placed 2nd in the 175 weight class and Sir Alloway placed 4th in the 195 weight class. Both will move on to complete in the State Championships. Congratulations Francisco and Sir!

ACT Day

The ACT is a standardized test used for admission into college, community college, and TCAT programs. All students in Tennessee are required to take the ACT to graduate and, based on their score, may be eligible for scholarship funds. Listed below are the two scholarships available to all Tennessee students.


  • Tennessee Promise allows students to attend any of these eligible institutions free of tuition and fees. This includes most community colleges and TCAT programs in Tennessee.
  • Tennessee Hope scholarship is available to all students that meet eligibility requirements and have a 21 on the ACT.



March 1, 2022


  • Freshmen & Sophomores will take the pre-ACT practice test.
  • Juniors will take the official ACT test.
  • Seniors will have the opportunity to go on a college campus visit.



  • Due to testing, lunch will be from 12:30 to 1:15. Classes will resume after lunch.

Tutoring will be available at the Bryan College library this semester from 4:00-6:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It will be available until April 21st, 2022.

What we're learning in English

Lord of the Flies Masks

Mrs. Newby's students decorated masks using symbolic colors and symbols representative of the lost boys' attempt at order and survival after they have crash landed on an island during WWII. The masks portray the decent from civilization to savagery.
The Tragedy of Macbeth

Samantha Green completed a one page representation of The Tragedy of Macbeth in Mrs. York's Senior English class.

Plymouth Plantation

Students in Mrs. Hamby's English III classes created a six word memoir project based on an excerpt from Plymouth Plantation by William Bradford, which is about the Puritans' experience on the Mayflower to the New Land. They retold the narrative in six words and included an illustration with it.

Native American Origin Myths

Mrs. Hamby's English III class created a Z chart over three Native American Origin Myths.
