June Update

What They Always Say About Construction . . . .

Starting on Tuesday, June1st we will return to our request and pick up model for the duration of the construction project.

We were feeling pretty smug because we were cruising smoothly along, avoiding the infamous COVID supply chain delays and materials cost spikes that have plagued so many projects. We were confident that we would be able to open on June 1st. Then a few things came up and we were confident that we'd be able to open on June 7th. Then a few more things came up and now we're not confident about anything. Perhaps we can take some comfort in the knowledge that hubris is a literary theme that dates back to the ancient Greeks.

Rather than leave you completely library-less for some undefined amount of time, and in order to avoid punishment by Nemesis, we will go back to filling requests from our temporary office in the community room until we are able to open the doors.

Starting Monday, June 8th, we will switch to Summer Hours -see below.

Thanks for your continued patience as we finish creating a library you're going to love!

A Tribute to Greenwich

This beautiful new display case was created for us by the wonderful Andersons of Trevett Mill Works - the picture does not begin to do it justice.

The display for our opening was created by Cindy Whitman and features scenes of local interest.

Many thanks to these artists and craftspeople!
