Good Afternoon!

We have only 8 school wake-ups before Winter Break! We have a lot going on between now and then...so check out the weekly news to make sure you have all the info you need :)

This Week: Students wear uniforms Monday - Thursday

• Monday - Friday: PTO Holiday Shoppe is open from 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
  (if coming to shop, please do not park in the front lane by the school)
• Friday Fun: Grinch Day! Wear green or your favorite Grinch attire.
• Special Note Regarding Lunches: This will be the last week of 2022 that parents can have lunch with their student at school. Our lunch schedules will be altered next week, so we will resume the Wildcat Cafe on January 9, 2023!

Upcoming Events:

December 20: Class parties will happen on this day. To ensure there is adequate space for movement within the classroom, parents & families are not invited to join in the celebration. We hope you understand and will support the event by sending in items that are requested by your teacher. We want everyone to stay safe and healthy as we enter into the winter break.

Tuesday, December 20: Students may wear festive headwear or a favorite holiday hat.

Wednesday, December 21: This is an Early Release Day! Please make plans now for your student. Students may wear pajamas with shoes (for safety reasons - no slippers should be worn)

Important Reminders:

Birthday Celebrations: Due to student food allergies, no outside food is accepted for class consumption. Parents can order frozen treats from the Cafe for the entire class, which allows all students to participate. Just reach out to your child's teacher or contact the front office if you'd like to plan this for your student.

Lost & Found: Please have your student check for items this week! We have tons of sweatshirts and jackets piling up in the front lobby. We will be donating unclaimed items during winter break (December 21 - January 6). Please claim your items!

Our annual Holiday Shoppe is Monday, December 12th - Friday, December 16th. Volunteers are needed for all 5 days. You are not obligated to stay all day if you are unable to. You can volunteer as many hours (or minutes) you can spare. Please indicate the time you are available to volunteer. Hello Union Grove Cluster!

We are so excited to once again offer Preschool AT UGHS this January-April 2023!

If your child is between 3-5 years old, they may qualify for a Preschool program beginning in January.

The program is every Tuesday - Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

We begin on Jan 10th and end on April 28th.
