We hope everyone is enjoying the cooler weather as much as we are here at North! We have some amazing kiddos in our school, who are working hard every day, learning new things, and having fun. Thank you North friends and family for your support in your child's education.

Fall Festival Candy Drive

It’s that time of year!! Lubbock-Cooper North will now be accepting bags of candy for the Fall Festival on October 26, 2021.

The class that collects the most bags of candy in each grade level will WIN a pajama day! Candy should be turned into your student's homeroom teacher. Please no opened bags of candy.

All bags of candy are due by the end of the day on Friday, October 22.

Lady Pirates Hoops Academy


WHO: Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd-grade girls

WHAT: This camp will introduce the most basic fundamentals of basketball with an emphasis on ball-handling and dribbling

WHEN: There will be five sessions held on the following Sundays from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm October 10th, 17th, 24th, November 7th, 14th

WHERE: Lubbock-Cooper High School gym

WHY: This camp will be a fun experience for young girls to learn about the game of basketball. They will also have the opportunity to showcase their skills at halftime of the Lubbock-Cooper High School varsity girls’ basketball game on November 16th.

COST: $85 per child (due at the first session on October 10th)

Includes a Hoops Academy shirt and a junior size ball


Kyle Lovorn has been director of Hoops Academy for eight years. He is the head girls’ basketball coach at Lubbock-Cooper High School and is a licensed USA Basketball Youth Development Coach.

Sierra Lovorn is a 3x high school basketball state champion. She achieved 1st Team All-American status as a college basketball player at Lubbock Christian University and was a part of the national finalist's team in 2006.

Pirate Of The Month

These outstanding Pirates were nominated by their teachers for showing exemplary behavior and utilizing the Pirate Code: Responsible, Caring , and being Respectful at all times. These students are great examples of how a Pirate should perform in the classroom.

Jacobi Ortiz-Pre-K

"Jacobi has already grown so much this school year. He has learned our routines and rules and follows both of them very well. Even when his friends are not doing their job, he stays still and stays doing what he should be doing. He uses the best manners and is always happy to come to school. North Elementary P.T.O. (Parent/Teacher Organization)

We can always use volunteers for events during the year. Getting involved in P.T.O. is a great way to get to know other parents and see the exciting things going on in your child's school in a unique way! PTO will be selling LCP tattoos for the remainder of the fall semester, please sign up on GroupMe to order! Also, be on the lookout for Fall shirts and hoodies. Order forms will be sent out soon.
