Fall Festival Candy Drive
It’s that time of year!! Lubbock-Cooper North will now be accepting bags of candy for the Fall Festival on October 26, 2021.
The class that collects the most bags of candy in each grade level will WIN a pajama day! Candy should be turned into your student's homeroom teacher. Please no opened bags of candy.
All bags of candy are due by the end of the day on Friday, October 22.
Lady Pirates Hoops Academy
BASKETBALL SKILLS CAMP
WHO: Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd-grade girls
WHAT: This camp will introduce the most basic fundamentals of basketball with an emphasis on ball-handling and dribbling
WHEN: There will be five sessions held on the following Sundays from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm October 10th, 17th, 24th, November 7th, 14th
WHERE: Lubbock-Cooper High School gym
WHY: This camp will be a fun experience for young girls to learn about the game of basketball. They will also have the opportunity to showcase their skills at halftime of the Lubbock-Cooper High School varsity girls’ basketball game on November 16th.
COST: $85 per child (due at the first session on October 10th)
Includes a Hoops Academy shirt and a junior size ball
INSTRUCTORS
Kyle Lovorn has been director of Hoops Academy for eight years. He is the head girls’ basketball coach at Lubbock-Cooper High School and is a licensed USA Basketball Youth Development Coach.
Sierra Lovorn is a 3x high school basketball state champion. She achieved 1st Team All-American status as a college basketball player at Lubbock Christian University and was a part of the national finalist's team in 2006.
