Jaguar Tracks for Families

November 3, 2020

From the Office of Mrs. Ippolito

Dear Joshua Eaton Families,

What a great week it has been at Joshua Eaton. We had our Halloween Hoopla Parade for both cohorts who were hybrid at school, the remote classrooms engaged in fun class activities, Officer Vatcher, our SRO, came to Joshua Eaton numerous time to support our school/community partnership! Most importantly, our students are learning and having fun.

I am so proud of all of our students! Since the start of school, they have shown perseverance, grit, and at the same time pure joy. They have been a gift to us to see and work with daily. I'm not saying it has been easy, but it has been made easier by being actively engaged with our Jaguars!

We want to thank all the parents and caregivers for the continued support during virtual learning!

Be well and stay safe!

Mrs. Ippolito, Principal

Joshua Eaton

While we are in this hybrid model, if a teacher is absent during their remote week, their class will work remotely on asynchronous lessons for the day through their class-specific Google Classroom.

To start the student's day they will log to their classroom Zoom link for attendance to be taken for the day at 8:30.

November is National Diabetes Awareness Month. More than 34 million Americans have diabetes (about 1 in 10), and approximately 90-95% of them have type 2 diabetes. Type 1 diabetes affects about 1 in 400 children, adolescents, and young adults under 20 years of age. Type 2 diabetes most often develops in people over age 45, but more and more children, teens, and young adults are also developing it. Many of us know and love someone with diabetes. To raise awareness about the condition, I am planning a fun activity for our JE Jaguars. I am including a link to an information sheet on diabetes from the Diabetes Research Foundation. It is followed by a crossword puzzle and a word search. If your student is interested in participating, please review the information provided and have them complete the activities. Once completed, let me know, and your student will receive a certificate for being a JE Diabetes Ambassador and their name will be placed on our health bulletin board.

Flu vaccine

Thank you to all the parents that have submitted documentation for their children receiving the flu vaccine. As you know, the state is now requiring that all children in K thru 12, receive a flu shot by 12/31/2020. Please plan to have your child vaccinated as soon as possible.

Documentation verifying your child’s immunizations can be faxed to 781-942-9053 or scanned and emailed to me. (
