Principal's Message
Dear Dragon Families,
We have had a rise of situations at school that involve technology. As we navigate the ever-evolving landscape of technology, it’s crucial to address the role of technology use with our students. While digital devices offer valuable educational resources, it’s essential to establish healthy boundaries to ensure our children’s overall well-being and development.
We monitor student ipad usage carefully at school, but we need your help since they also bring their ipads home. Here are a few notes:
Please monitor the activity being done on your child’s school ipad. Check to see what apps they have downloaded and if they are using apps to communicate with others.
Check their camera roll, voice memos, and notes.
Remind your child that their school ipad is to be used for academic purposes.
Students should not be using their ipad to chat, video record, photograph, or take voice memos without other people’s permission.
By prioritizing moderation and balance, we can help our children develop healthy relationships with technology. Here is an interesting article our staff read this week:
As always, we appreciate your partnership in promoting the well-being of our students.
Mrs. Keegan
Proud Principal of Schroeder Elementary School
