Safety First
- For students who walk home - Please encourage your children to directly head home after school due to NO adult supervision.
- Students should be walking bikes/scooters upon arrival on school property during BOTH arrival and dismissal times. Thank you!
- If you are in the building during a lockdown drill, please enter the closest room, close the door, turn the lights off and remain out of sight.
- During a fire drill, please exit the building (200 feet away from building) until further notice.
- When coming to obtain your child from school during an emergency, please remember to bring a form of identification for verification purposes (e.g. Driver's License, Dismissal Cards/Tags with child's name, etc.).
Upcoming Parent Meeting - CogAT
In October, your child in the third or fifth grade was administered the CogAT (Cognitive Abilities Test). Fourth graders who were new to the district or who, for some reason, had an incomplete score were tested as well. The tests have been scored and the results returned to the Andrews campus where they will be placed in your child’s permanent record. You can view your student’s scores now online through parent portal.
If you would like more information about your child’s score, an informational meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 9th, 2015 at 7:45-8:15 in the library. The meeting should last about 30 minutes.

Message from our nurse...
Lice are spread by some form of direct or indirect head contact. They cannot fly or jump, but they do crawl. To prevent the spread of lice please teach your children not to share:
- combs, brushes, hats, headgear, scarves, or jackets
- towels, linens, pillows
- stuffed toys, dolls, cloth toys
Please take a moment to inspect your child’s head. An adult louse is about the size of a sesame seed and is tan to grayish white in color. If lice are found, the Center for Disease Control and the American Academy of Pediatrics recommend treatment with a medicated lice killing shampoo that can be found at your local supermarket or drugstore.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
