A Few Changes...

PTO has changed the dates of their meetings, starting with the next meeting. Meetings will now be the third MONDAY of each month, not the third Tuesday. Therefore, the next PTO meeting is scheduled for 4pm on Monday, October 21st. There will NOT be a meeting on October 16th, as previously scheduled an announced. PTO looks forward to seeing new parents wanting to get involved!

Also, the information for the Hay Tunnel field trips has changed slightly. We will be eating lunch at school on those days so you are not required to request a sack lunch ahead of time. Your child will have the usual choice between hot/school lunch, or cold/lunch from home. All other information remains the same.

The end of the quarter is October 18th. Report cards will be sent home on October 28th. Parent/Teacher Conferences are scheduled for November 1st & 4th. Information regarding conference times should be sent home shortly. We try to schedule sibling conferences one after another so that you only have to make one trip, as well as accommodating your schedule as best we can. Therefore, please either confirm your conference time or request a change and return the form no later than Monday, October 14th so we have time to finalize the schedule. Thank you.

Picture Retakes are October 16th, in the morning only. If any afternoon preschool students would like to retake pictures, please contact the school office at 260-1345. Thank you.

As the holidays approach, classes may be doing holiday parties. Please remember that if you want to attend or help out with class events, birthdays, parties, etc, you must be an approved volunteer. If you have not done the application yet this year, please go to www.kpbsd.k12.ak.us and click on Volunteers. This may take a few weeks after you submit it to be approved, so be sure to apply well before you want to visit a classroom.

Congratulations Tustumena!
