Week At A Glance

March 19-25, 2016

Extended Observations

After your extended observation is shared with you via email from SFS (generally within 10 school days of observation), be sure to note the Staff/Evaluator Conference Date and Time which is normally scheduled during your prep. If that date/time doesn't work for you, please let your evaluator know. The post-observation conference is attempted to be held as soon as possible based on both individual's schedules.

As a reminder, the Reflection sheet (How_What Am I doing.doc - attached to WAG email) is required to be completed and emailed to your evaluator just prior to your summative conversation for all Gened, SpecialEd, and Related Arts teachers. Please remember to be specific in the details listed in the Reflection document. (e.g., specific examples vs. 'I do that') This information will be used a basis for the conversation as well as indicators for domains 1 and 3 on your evaluation. Please see Randy or Kim with any questions.

Note: If you have already had your extended observation follow-up, please touch base with that evaluator to schedule a time to discuss domains 1 and 3 utilizing your completed Reflection Sheet. If you have a follow-up coming up soon and you will not have time the Reflection Sheet completed, a separate can also be scheduled~see your evaluator.

HDrive to Onedrive Migration

Please review the following information regarding HDrive to OneDrive migration:

1) Please complete before the last day of school. Many HDrive transfers take more than one day - waiting until the last few weeks of May might be okay - but waiting until the last school day is not recommended.

2) If using a flash drive (thumb drive) or external hard drive, the recommendation is to also transfer those files into OneDrive. We recommend teachers wishing to use external storage to transfer files to OneDrive as a back up in case an external storage device becomes lost or unusable. The collaboration & sharing capabilities of OneDrive do not function in conjunction with external storage.

3) Using Chrome to migrate files is not recommended. Provided instructions are designed to efficiently migrate entire sets of folders, with the folder & subfolder structure intact; a true copy of the HDrive is made. Using Chrome requires users to recreate folder substructures. There are instances where teachers migrated folders in Chrome, resulting in a folder structure with empty folders - no content.

  • Your HDrive will be disabled in June!
  • Internet Explorer is used for this process only - after migration, use your favorite browser (Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, etc.)
  • Shared drives will not be affected
  • Anything from your desktop, pictures, and downloads should also be migrated!
