Title I Parent/Guardian International Night-We need your help!!
Our first Title I International Parent/Guardian Night will take place on October 26th from 5-7. To make this event successful, we need parents in our community to sign up to represent their country or nationality. Below are examples of how you can represent your country or nationality.
- Host a country table - usually includes a trifold with photos and information about the country, some traditional items like fabric, housewares, etc.
- Participate in the "Buffet of Nations" by preparing a traditional dish to share.
- Participate in the "Fashion of Nations" show by parading down a catwalk wearing traditional clothes. Both parents and kids can be the models!
- Participate in the "Culture of Nations" show by sharing a traditional song, dance, instrument, or talent.
- Provide an activity or demonstration (henna, calligraphy, art, or game).
- Share a slide of your country and family to be displayed in the PowerPoint presentation playing in the background.

Instructions for Student Drop Off & Pick Up
- Parents who drop off and pick up students before and after school have two ways to access our campus. Cars may enter the campus from Darrow Road onto Walkertown School Road to the left of the old WMS. Go to the stop sign in front of the football stadium and turn left. Follow the road around to the circle and enter the front parking lot via the traffic circle. Traffic should circle the parking lot and drop off or pick up students at the front of the building.
Cars also may enter campus from Sullivantown Road. Use the second entrance to the school (not the bus entrance, which is the first one) when coming from Main Street to Sullivantown Road. Turn right into the parking lot and follow the outside lane of traffic around to the front of the building to drop off or pick up students. Exit via the traffic circle.
Please stay in the lane that leads you to the far end of the parking lot from the traffic circle or front entrance and then merge at the far end of the parking lot into one lane for drop off and pick up. We only use one lane for drop off and pick up in front of the school.
Cell Phone/Electronic Device Policy for Students
- Per the district policy, cell phones and other electronic devices are not to be displayed or used during the school day, unless they are used within classroom instruction. If you need to contact your child during the school day, please call the Main Office.
- Students can have their phones on their person or in their backpacks. The focus is for it to not be seen or heard.
- Cell phones and any other electronic devices belonging to individual students should not be used or displayed in instructional settings during the instructional day (7:00-2:00).
- Cell phones may not be used in the classroom unless directed by the teacher for instructional use. Violations will follow the WS/FCS Student Code of Character, Conduct, and Support (Policy 5131: Student Behavior).

WS/FCS accepts no responsibility for theft, loss or damage to a student’s personal electronic equipment.
