Digital Learning Month 2016 @MTPS

A K-12 professional community to support student learning.

We are excited to announce that starting on February 8th, you are invited to participate in our K-12, learner-driven professional community activities. You will be able to connect and learn with other educators throughout our innovative district via Google Classrooms.

Our learning community topics/classrooms include:

  • Blogging
  • BrainPop
  • Code Instruction
  • Digital Citizenship
  • Discovery Education
  • Flipped Classroom
  • Garage Band Audio/Music Production
  • Genius Hour (Passion Projects/20% Time)
  • Google Sites
  • Graphic Art & Design
  • Green Screen Productions
  • Maker Space
  • Podcasting
  • SMARTNotebook
  • Social Media/Twitter
  • Tech for Organization

Select one or multiple classrooms to participate during the learning month and beyond. The "Rule of Two Feet" applies - if the classroom is not meeting your needs, feel free to join another classroom. Every classroom is a safe place for everyone to learn and grow. You are encouraged to take educational risks and try something new. Lead learners will facilitate each classroom to share learning materials, stimulate weekly learning flow, and encourage sharing of your learning. Remember, we all contribute towards the growth of one another during face-to-face and virtual conversations.

Join our Digital Learning Month 2016 Team to further support student learning and create a K-12 connected, blended professional learning community.

More details will be shared on Wednesday, February 3rd about how you can join your Google Classroom of choice.

We look forward to learning with you.

Thank you.

The #MTPSDLM16 Team
