State Fair 4-H Live Animal & In-Person Contest Registration OPEN
State Fair 4-H Live Animal & In-Person Contest Registration
4-H'ers planning to exhibit a live animal or participate in an in-person contest at the Nebraska State Fair must register State Fair 4-H Live Animal & In-Person Contest Registration. Nebr.fairwire.com is where they can be made! Entries will be due by 5:00 P.M. on August 10, 2017!
This includes youth participating in any of the following shows or contests:
- Beef
- Sheep
- Swine
- Meat goats
- Poultry
- Rabbits
- Dog
- Dairy Judging Contest
- Dog Skillathon
- Livestock Premier Exhibitor
- Presentations Contest

Registration must be completed by the family and must be paid for using a credit card. There are no other options for payment. Volunteers Needed for State Fair 4-H Fashion Show
The Fashion Show is Monday, September 4 at the Heartland Event Center, State Fairgrounds, Grand Island. We need assistance in three areas: 1) Registration, 2) Hostesses, and 3) Tabulation.
For the 4-H Fashion Show, which again this year includes both garments constructed and garments purchased, those helping with registration and as a hostess will need to be present by 7:30 a.m., while those helping with tabulation will need to be present by 8:45 a.m. Registration helpers will be finished by 9:15 a.m., while those helping as a hostess and in tabulation should be done by 12 noon.

Friends of Saunders County 4-H and Extension Foundation Silent Auction Fundraiser
- Rain Barrel Silent Auction Fundraiser
- Each Club can make a rain barrel, potted arrangement, or any other outdoor decor to donate to the Silent Auction at the Fair!
- Rain barrel is any above ground container modified to receive, store, and distribute rooftop runoff for non-drinking uses
- Clubs can construct (or purchase pre-made barrels) to prime and paint them as well

Raise Your Hand for 4-H
1) Raise Your Hand – Complete the form at http://4-h.org/raise-your-hand to show your pride as a 4‑H alum.
2) Compete for your state – Raising your hand is a vote towards a $20,000, $10,000 or $5,000 award for the states with the most alumni hands raised.
3) Pay it Forward – Tweet, post and share your #4HGrown experience or support and tag fellow alumni asking them to raise their hands for their state at http://4-h.org/raise-your-hand.

Between March 1 - August 15, 2017, Nebraska 4-H will be hosting a photo scavenger hunt for all 4-H members. Using an app, participants will complete challenges and submit photo entries on social media using #NE4HChase.
