Jaffrey City Lake

The Plan

What We're Doing

Citizens of Jaffrey City!
By now, many of you may have realized that we have a problem with our beloved lake. The City Council has formulated a plan to assist in solving this problem, and we ask you take a moment of your time to read what we are doing.

We are upgrading the septic tanks in all public buildings. Housing upgrades would cost us too much, but may happen someday. We are raising awareness for the pollution of Jaffrey Lake as well, and you - yes, you! - can help us promote the awareness for Jaffrey Lake by spreading word about it in any way you can. We are also raising taxes, but only by .274%. So there is no need to worry about inflation and paying three extra dollars when you buy a can of your favorite fizzy drink.

Why We're Doing It

We are upgrading septic tanks to have better control of waste management, which certain products can contain nitrates and phosphates. The reason why we cannot upgrade every single septic tank is because the cost would be too overwhelming, and reconstruction efforts would take many years. Taxes must be raised at a very small amount in order to help cover the cost, and fundraising will also help.

Anything we can do to help the lake with as much agreement between everyone can and will be done, because that lake is an important prospect of Jaffrey City and must be restored to its former state as soon as possible.

Thank you for your cooperation, and we hope you aid us in restoring Jaffrey Lake!
