Open House

Homework Club

A reminder to all students who take part in Homework Club after school: this is a time solely for homework and not gaming or playing on your iPad. Thank you!

Edible Cinema

Grade 7 students are doing an Edible Cinema unit where they create themed food linked to a set film. So that they can plan for this, they need to watch the video in advance - The first part will be shown today from 12.40 during lunch time in the hub and the rest during their lesson. They will have some brain storming activities to do while watching the film. Please can all Grade 7s make their way to the hub at 12.40. For other students the Hub will be off limit during this time. Upcoming Trip: G6-G8 EAL Podcast Walk

Date: Thursday 13 March

Depart: 1245

Return: 1535

Students Mavi, Fra, Hermione, Dada, Hans and Frida will take part in an EAL Podcast walk on Thursday 13 March. The trip will be leaving right after lunch.

Students must bring:

  • sensible walking shoes
  • waterproof clothing/ an umbrella
  • acharged iPad.

Upcoming Trip: G7 National Gallery

Date: Monday 17 March

Depart: 0900

Return: 1320

Grade 7 will be going to National Gallery together with Sue Dance and Lori Fritz to look at the Impressionist painters. The students will have an opportunity to look closely at the way they used colour, optical blending and brush-marks to capture light. This will enhance the student's understanding of the scientific use of colour theory which we are exploring in the unit of "Colour and Light - Impression" in both Science and Art.

Students are requested to please bring :

  • a topped up oyster card

  • Jackets

  • comfortable shoes

  • pencils

  • iPads

  • some money to purchase a post card
