Walkthrough Reminder Monday morning 9-1030

We will be conducting a walk-through on Monday morning with people from admin. It is scheduled for 9-1030 so please put your best foot forward. We are looking for students reading, working on book reviews, and evidence that your work is in response to benchmark data (or PALS data). Also, have your learning targets current and refer to them at least 3x during a lesson.

Teacher Appreciation Week

There is no way that I can express how appreciative I am of your work. I try to support teachers whenever I have the opportunity. Our Superintendent recently called me a "cheerleader for your teachers." I own that 100% and I hope that I exemplify it in every interaction I have with you! As a small token of my appreciation:

Tuesday is Pizza for Lunch Day. Each grade level was requested to put in an order for the toppings they want on their pizza.

Thursday is Lunch from a Sanford Family Day, I have worked with Mike and Jane Artis who are sponsoring this luncheon. Location TBA, but please come and get it at your lunch time.

Gear Up and Get Ready Week

The goal of this week is to highlight the importance of preparation for our tests just as an athlete or marathoner must prepare for their big race. The culminating activity will be our SOL parade (details to be announced) at dismissal on May 11.

We are READY for testing!

Monday 5/2: Bright Day (You are such a bright student.) Wear bright clothes!

Tuesday 5/3: Hat Day (hats off to the SOLs) wear a hat

Wednesday 5/4: Superhero Day! (Be a hero against the SOLs) dress-up like your favorite superhero

Thursday 5/5: Exercise Day (I have exercised my brain all year and I am ready for my work out!) wear workout clothes

Friday 5/6: Sanford Day (We are a school and a community and we stick together.) Wear Blue and White or a Sanford shirt!

Action Item: Let Data Guide your instruction--Benchmark data in 3-5 and PALS data in K-2
