CVHS Counseling Back to School
Schedules for the 2021-2022 School Year
Schedules will be available through PowerSchool soon. Please keep in mind, space is EXTREMELY limited this year as we are scheduling for both our standard classes and the Chippewa Valley Virtual Academy (CVVA). You may see classes that you did not initially request due to the limitations with our master schedule. Counselors put thought and consideration into all the moves that were made, but it is simply not possible to meet all the initial requests of every student. If you have "SEE COUNSELOR" on your schedule, please e-mail your counselor. (see below)
Examples of a valid schedule change request:
- To meet a graduation requirement (seniors only)
- If you have already taken and passed the class
- If you did not meet the prerequisites for the class
If you do not meet the above criteria, your schedule cannot be changed.
If you do meet the above criteria, here is the link to our schedule change request form.
Requests will be reviewed by the second week of school and you will receive and email if approved by your counselor.

On Wednesday, October 13th, you will have an opportunity to take the SAT without the essay portion. This test will be administered at Chippewa Valley from 7:00- 11:00 and we will hold classes in the afternoon for grades 9-12 starting at 11:30. Many colleges are waiving the SAT score as a condition for college acceptance; however, this score is beneficial for scholarship opportunities and when applying to more prestigious universities. If you took the SAT last Spring you are still eligible for this testing opportunity, as the State of Michigan will be covering the cost associated with offering this test.
It is important that you go to our website and fill out the opt-in form before Friday, September 12th to register for the test. We will not be able to offer the test to students who do not fill out this form after the 12th. If you have any questions about taking the SAT at school, please contact Mr. Briningstool.
