CVHS Counseling Back to School

September 2020

Welcome Back

Welcome back everyone! We know this year is going to be different but we are here to support our CVHS families and will get through this challenging time together. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need help!

Schedules for the 2020-2021 School Year

Schedules will be available through PowerSchool soon. Please keep in mind, space is EXTREMELY limited this year as we are scheduling for both our standard classes and the Chippewa Valley Virtual Academy (CVVA). You may see classes that you did not initially request due to the limitations with our master schedule. Counselors put thought and consideration into all the moves that were made, but it is simply not possible to meet all the initial requests of every student. If you have "SEE COUNSELOR" on your schedule, please e-mail your counselor. (see below)

Examples of a valid schedule change request:

  • To meet a graduation requirement (seniors only)
  • If you have already taken and passed the class
  • If you did not meet the prerequisites for the class

If you do not meet the above criteria, your schedule cannot be changed.

If you do meet the above criteria, here is the link to our schedule change request form.

http://cvhsguidance.weebly.com/schedule-changes.html

Requests will be reviewed by the second week of school and you will receive and email if approved by your counselor.

Welcome Sophomores! The 10-12 Counselors are excited to get to know you! We are here to support your academic, personal/social, and career/college development. Working hard this year to get good grades is extremely important. It is much easier to raise your GPA now versus waiting until junior or senior year. Communicate with your teachers and contact your counselor if you are struggling.
