Day 7
Day 7, Doing our best to keep you in the know
I am so proud of our school being ready to go with student learning. One of the things that makes our school special is our connection to the kids and our social emotional focus. That is hard to do with distance learning and we need your help. If you sense your child needs a break or you do, take it. Kids at our school take laps, step outside or "use the bathroom" frequently because they need those breaks. Keep that in mind while working with or supervising your kids. Additionally, if your child is having behavior that is a communication tool for kids. They may be letting you know they are out of juice, the work is too hard or too easy or they may be hungary. Be sure to check in with them and find out what it is they need.
If You Do Need To Go Out
- Expect lines at grocery stores as they are minimizing the number of people in the stores.
- Only one person should do the shopping, please do not bring the whole family, it puts everyone at risk.
- Wash your hands immediately upon your return.
- You may even want to consider wiping down products purchased.
- Please work hard to keep six feet between you and others. I have been out where people have not been taking this seriously and it is stressful. If you do need to bring a child keep them with you or make sure they understand these new rules of society.
I can not send you enough virtual love and health with my words. Please, please, please take care and know that we are here for you.
It is important for us all to be safe, stay healthy and be informed. Below are statistics from this morning but as you know they are constantly changing.
