Here's What Our Teachers are Saying About Our Program
My support provider was so supportive every step of the way. I knew that she would always be there anytime I needed help. She went above and beyond to guide and gave us useful ideas to implement. I really could not have asked for a better experience - Nhu Tran - 2nd Year Teacher
I used every PD strategy in my teaching. I changed my entire teaching format because of BTSA - Elizabeth Hofstedt - 2nd Year Teacher
BTSA has been a great way for me to interact with all the resources of the district and feel like part of the district right away. I love the opportunities I gained to collaborate with fellow BTSA teachers and other professionals. Thank you! Sara Hardenburg - 1 year Education Specialist
This has been a terrific experience and I appreciate the support and guidance you and your staff have provided along the way. You are true professionals and your knowledge and expertise is appreciated and should be celebrated. I hope there will be some sort of follow up in future years. - Jennifer Boaz - 2nd Year Teacher
I feel that BTSA has been extremely important to me as a new teacher. I have felt very supported from beginning to end, and it was helpful to know that there are several people that I could ask for help at any time. Your support provider will meet with you regularly and guide you through the inquiry process in order for this experience to be successful and meaningful for you. Your principal will support your inquiry work by recommending resources and materials that support your plan.
January/April: You will continue with the planning and implementation of your inquiry. Your support provider will observe a lesson that relates to your inquiry. You will be creating and analyzing student work samples, formative and summative assessments. You will also have the opportunity to attend various workshops that have been designed based upon your feedback.
May: It's Celebration Time! You will complete a final reflection. This reflection takes a look at your progress in relation to the California Standards for the Teaching Profession and the Induction Program Standards.
