The Weekly Hoot
February 25 - March 3, 2019
Greetings All -
Happy Friday everyone! I hope everyone is planning on having a great weekend! Mine is going to include celebrating my husband's birthday, going to get some crawfish, a friend "game day" on Sunday with dominoes and cards, and a little resting if I can fit it in. Maybe a pedicure too, just to see if it will hurry spring up a little bit! LOL!
Our fire drill today was cancelled due to weather and substitutes, so we will have it one day next week. We will watch the weather and play it by ear.
Just a couple of reminders for the week:
Dr. Fiaschetti and I will be finishing up evaluations in the next couple of weeks. I am writing up A TON of them this afternoon and I will be emailing you to schedule post-conference times.
Don't forget to get your writing samples done for the end of the third nine weeks, graded with a rubric, and turned in to me. I know the end of the nine weeks isn't until March 29th, but I know this takes a little time, so whenever you want to get started on it, is fine.
I know you all saw the email yesterday, but make sure you get Wednesday, March 5 on the calendar for the district-wide "Stop The Bleed" training. It will be at the high school. Make sure any tutoring is cancelled and you have prepared your self personally to be there until 5:00. Thank you so much!
Thank you for all you do everyday. This time of year can get a little hectic, and I promise you that your hard work does not go unnoticed! :)
Lastly, you all know that I consider us all one big family. One of our family members, Jamie Mock is going through a trial right now in her life. This coming Tuesday she will be having a mass removed from her thyroid that her doctor says on a scale of 1-5, his opinion is that it is a 4 for being cancer. Jamie will be in the hospital overnight Tuesday night and off the rest of the week. Let's make sure we keep Jamie in our prayers as she does the waiting game on this. I am a firm believer that next week in the Hoot I can give a celebratory report. We love you Jamie, and we will help you through this.
Let's have a great week next week!!
Love to all,
Marcy
Owl Wings This Week Go To...
Kirby Borski because when I was in her classroom the other day, her whole class was READING and acting like readers! Those 4-5 year olds were on a role reading their book about fairy tales.
Jennifer Parrott for completing a food pantry project in the library on Wednesday. Great job tying in a vital resource in our community with your lesson.
