WHEN IT WAS ESTABLISHED

THE U.S SUPREME COURT WAS ESTABLISHED FEBRUARY 2, 1790. IN 1789 CONGRESS PASSED THE JUDICIARY ACT.THE ACT CREATED A SUPREME COURT OF SIX JUDGES WITH ONE CHIEF JUSTICE AND FIVE ASSOCIATE JUSTICES.


ITS FIRST SESSION

IN 1790 THE SUPREME COURT HELD ITS FIRST SESSION IN NEW YORK CITY,THE NATIONS CAPITAL.BOTH THE CONSTITUTION AND THE COURTS WERE BRAND NEW,AND NO ONE WAS CERTAIN WHAT ROLE THE COURT WOULD PLAY IN AMERICAN SOCIETY


WHAT IT DOES

THE SUPREME COURT MAKES IMPORTANT COURT DECISIONS.ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT DECISIONS WAS BROWN VERSUS BOARD OF EDUCATION,WHERE THEY DECIDED TO LET BLACKS GO TO SCHOOL WITH WHITES.THE SUPREME COURT ALSO PROTECTS OUR RIGHTS.
