Introduction of new K-5 Director

Hello amazing Legacy PCA-Plano K-5 staff! My name is Emelia Ahmed and I am your new director. I am so excited to be embarking on a teaching and learning journey with all of you. I have spent 22 years in public education as a teacher, campus principal and director or elementary and multilingual education. I look forward to collaborating with all of you as we provide our scholars the best innovative project based learning educational experiences. I am looking forward to meeting each and every one of you soon.

I would like for everyone to know that my door is always open, literally and figuratively too. You may email, call me or come see me in person if you have any questions or if you have great ideas to share with our team. I am looking forward to creating a culture of collaboration and innovation involving all of our community.

Construction Update

Classroom construction will be taking place in our elementary wing in the month of July. We will be doubling our classroom spaces and building a new restroom for our scholars. I will keep you updated on our progress.

Learning Spaces

As we continue our culture of high expectation and innovative teaching methods, I would like to invite you to brainstorm ideas for how to organize our learning spaces in our classrooms and outside our designated areas. I would love to create a colorful and creative atmosphere for all our scholars. You may email your ideas to me at eahmed@legacypca.com.

STRR Culture

We will continue to promote our STRR Culture. Legacy Preparatory Charter Academy fosters a STRR (Safety, Trust, Respect, Responsibility) culture to help scholars develop positive personality traits and encourage proper behavior. Our Scholars are given trust cards and STRR bracelets as a reminder of expected behavior. Improper behavior may result in the removal of one's trust card or STRR bracelet as a way to remind students of the school's expectations for individual conduct.
