Scrambled Eggs Done Right
Ingredients
· 2 eggs
· 1 teaspoon water (optional)
· 1 teaspoon margarine or butter
· salt and pepper to taste(optional)
Preparation
1. In a cup or small bowl, whisk together the eggs, and water using a fork. Melt margarine in a skillet over low heat. Pour in the eggs, and stir constantly as they cook. Remove the eggs to a plate when they are set, but still moist. Do not over cook. Never add salt or pepper until eggs are on plate, but these are also good without.
Scrambled eggs are always a healthy, and tasty breakfast choice, these have 210 calories with the added mayonnaise, but I have taken it out of the recipe to make it even healthier. Without the mayonnaise the cholesterol is still fairly high, but this is still a healthy meal choice because it is very low in fat, sodium, high in protein, and there are virtually no carbohydrates, and there is only 0.9g of sugar included in this meal. What also makes this meal great is the very low preparation time of 6 minutes in total, 2 minutes of preparation and 4 minutes of cook time, overall this is a great breakfast meal choice and a healthy alternative to many things.
