Mill Valley Weekly
Thursday, December 5th, 2019
Hello Mill Valley Families,
Congratulations Coach Smith and the entire Muskego High School football team on their State Championship two years in a row! We had so much fun cheering you on as your buses drove down Racine Avenue.
With the cold and snow season upon us, please review the district's protocol for closing school due to inclement weather, available on our website.
If you haven't done so already, please take a few minutes to complete the Parent Satisfaction Survey. We appreciate your feedback as we strive to improve.

Ugly Christmas Sweater Party
Join us next Wednesday, December 11th at 6pm for our Ugly Christmas Sweater PTO Meeting in the Mill Valley Library. Holiday snacks will be provided along with a gift giveaway drawing! Wear an “ugly sweater” and earn 2 punches on your loyalty card. Hope to see you there!
(meeting location: Library, enter through door #1)
Holiday Movie Night and Cookie Exchange
Mill Valley’s PTO invites your family to join us for a Holiday Family Movie Night and cookie exchange in the MV gym at 6:30 pm on Friday, December 13th. We will be watching the 2018 version of The Grinch. Please feel free to come in your pajamas and bring your “comfy supplies” (blankets, chairs, pillows, etc.).
We are also asking families who would like to participate in a cookie exchange to bring their favorite cookies in a disposable container (or wrapped). Then, you are welcome to take home someone else’s cookies. Families are encouraged to bring gluten-free and nut-free options too. Cookies will be clearly marked indicating these options. Any leftover cookies will be donated to local nursing homes for their holiday enjoyment.
Door #12 will be open and the blacktop is available for parking.
We are looking for a few volunteers to help with this event. We would greatly appreciate your time. Please email MV PTO if you are interested. millvalleymuskegopto@gmail.com

A Candy Cane Gram includes a personalized gift tag filled out by the student and a flavored candy cane. Your “Gram” will be delivered to the designated classroom at the end of each day (or the following morning)!

Attendance Matters
The holiday season can be a stressful time for both adults and children. Stress can decrease our ability to fight off illness thereby increasing our absences from school. Here’s an article from VeryWell Family about Preventing Holiday Stress and Anxiety in Children.
A Note from our District Nurse...
Students excused for an appointment are asked to bring verification of their appointment back to school upon their return.
Thank You
