THIS WEEK'S SKILLS & CONTENT
5W1: Write opinion pieces on topics or texts, supporting a point of view with reasons.
5W3: Write narratives to develop real or imagined experiences or events using effective technique, descriptive details, and clear event sequences. (Review/Remediation)
5L2b. Use a comma to separate an introductory element from the rest of the sentence. (Review/Remediation)
SS5H5: Discuss the origins and consequences of the Cold War.
Last week, students began discussing ideas for taking action for their exhibition projects. This week, myself or Ms. France will approve of one idea for each group. Students will then take action in the coming weeks with their teammates. This will likely take place outside of school. More information to come...
5TH GRADE PROMOTION YARD SIGNS
Celebrate your 5th grader with a Promotion Yard Sign. Signs are $18 and can be purchased through MSA until March 29th.
Signs will be available for pick up by the end of April.
5TH GRADE PROMOTION CEREMONY VIDEO
PHOTOS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY March 31st.
Photographs for the video slideshow that will play as guests enter the 5th Grade Promotion Ceremony are now being collected. Please use the link below to submit a picture of your 5th grader as a baby, and if you would like please submit one of them in their 5th grade year as well. If you do not submit a 5th grade photo, your child’s yearbook photo will be used instead. All photos must be submitted by 3/31.
