It's hard to believe how fast this school year is progressing as we are approaching the halfway point of block 4. Student Led Conferences will take place during the week of April 12-15th. Students should be bringing home information to have discussions with parents and guardians regarding current classes. Teachers have designated times within the week of April 12-15th to have further discussions with parents as well.
Our SRC recently hosted a virtual assembly celebrating Viking accomplishments with a keynote by our very own Hailey Rose. The assembly was fantastic and such a great accomplishment during a global pandemic. The SRC will continue with their celebrations of Vikings with the BOC awards later this spring.
Registration for the fall 2021 classes has begun with the grade 7, 8 and 9 current homerooms. Virtual information sessions will take place during the week of April 13-16 regarding classes and registration for grades 10-12.
Level 3 learning will continue through to the end of block 4 or May 5th as recommended by SK Health. April cohort schedule is available on the school website. Students are required to attend virtually during their off-campus day and face to face for their designated days. Stay informed of our safety policies by reviewing the safety protocols posted on our school website. Follow directions from Public Health to minimize exposure and risk.
Plans are going ahead for a virtual graduation ceremony. Mrs. Forgrave and Mrs. Wilkinson in the SSO have been working to communicate information to our grads regarding scholarships and other pertinent information through the grad google classroom.
Finally, April 21st is early dismissal day and there are no classes on April 26th as the day is a professional development day for staff. Block 5 begins on May 6th.
Take care, stay safe and work hard.
