Happy November Bucs! We have lots of good information to share this month, so check it out!

Upcoming Events

November - Junior Advisement meetings continue throughout the month of November and into December for junior students and parents. All 11th grade students should have received a mailed letter and a copy of the letter in homeroom with a specific appointment time.


November 16th - Virtual Financial Aid Night from 6:30-7:30.

AHS will host a Virtual Financial Aid Night 6:30-7:30pm presented by our community outreach representative from Ga Student Finance Commission. This virtual meeting will help Senior parents and students understand the financial aid process, learn more about Hope Scholarship, and answer specific questions they may have when filling out the FAFSA form.

Senior Students - You should have had a senior meeting by now. If you have not, please contact your counselor to set one up with them.


Senior Parents - Senior Tribute Ads: Now is the time to create a senior tribute ad for your special senior! Go to yearbookordercenter.com and enter order # 10511 to see the prices and options. The deadline to complete your ad is Tuesday, November 30th!!

College Visits Are Here!


College Visits are offered 2 ways this year and are available to all students:

1 - Face to Face visits outside in the cafeteria courtyard during lunch. This is for STUDENTS ONLY to attend during their designated lunch time.

2 - Virtual Visits after school at 5 p.m. and students will access these visits at home using the link in Naviance.

If the visit is scheduled from 12-2, it is a cafeteria/courtyard visit. If it is scheduled for 5 p.m., it is virtual.

2022 STEM Academy held at Georgia Tech June 6th-10th

Join us June 6 - 10 for a STEM-themed Summer Camp open to all rising 9th grade through 12th-grade students!

OPEN TO ALL YOUTH, BOTH MALES AND FEMALES. BSA MEMBERSHIP IS NOT REQUIRED.

Our mission is to have high school students leave our academy with a deeper understanding of what STEM professionals do every day and how they change and build the world we live in. This is a unique and great way to get your high school students motivated about their future careers. Scouts will have the opportunity to earn STEM Merit Badges, including the Construction Merit Badge.
