Introduction

JRE Families,

A huge thank you goes to the family volunteers that help make JRE the welcoming place we've all come to love. STEM bites were back this week. Children participated in experiments on the playground during their lunch recess, while adult family members helped students with supplies. Additionally, adult family members were helping open milk cartons and lunches while enjoying the banter of an elementary school cafeteria. Happy Spring!

In partnership,

Brent Ostbye

Principal

Chihuly Garden and Glass is offering free family tickets to their exhibition at the Seattle Center to all Title I schools. We have had a Memorandum of Understanding with Chihuly for 8 years. Usually it’s for field trips, but due to COVID-19, they’re giving families direct access to the exhibition for free. There are 10,000 tickets available through May 31, 2022.
