Yes vitamins do give energy to the body. They help enzymes produce energy in the body. Vitamin B3 helps the enzyme Q10 provide a tremendous amount of energy. Vitamins B6 helps with metabolism. Vitamin C helps with transporting fats throughout the body.

Certain nutrients are handled differently than others. Too much Vitamin A,D, and K can all increase vitamin levels that are unsafe and can cause health problems. Excess vitamin A can produce birth defects in infants. High levels of vitamin E may increase the risk of internal or external bleeding.
