FBC Covington, 5/8/16 - Weekly Newsletter
PRAYER REQUESTS FOR THIS WEEK
- Joel & Lewissa Singleton (Choral Director at Eastside High) - were expecting twins in mid-to-late June but last week they lost the little boy and they went ahead and performed surgery to give birth to the little girl; Mom and Sutton are both doing well; they need lots of rest and prayers to get them through this very rough but special time in their lives
.
- Terri Deadwyler - cancer
.
- GWA Travel Group in June headed up by Wanda
.
- Jack Redlinger (Sherry's coworker) - had 3rd procedure on his knee
.
- Bubba Mallard - he had minor surgery last week; he hopes this will help him to quality to get on a clinical trial with Emory; he was also named EASTSIDE HIGH TEACHER OF THE YEAR FOR 2016 this past week!
.
- Eric Cook - had polyps removed this past week; crohn's has not been any worse recently
.

- Be praying about attending "The Main Event" (AKA Men's Conference) on July 22-23rd in Nashville TN. More details are given below in this Newsletter. Scott would like to know soon if anyone is thinking about going but there is no pressure to go.
.
- Be praying about our class possibly opening up a "no cost" account at Newton Federal to be used as a "Flower Fund" for those occasions when we need to send flowers, a meal, or other expenses our class my incur. Pray about if we'd like to ask for a certain contribution per family per month to go into the fund. Scott would like us to decide on setting up this account soon but there is no pressure to give a certain amount.
.
- The Bowling Social has been moved to the fall but there is no pressure to break 100 if you decide to go with us.
.
- Students & Teachers here in the final days of the 2015-2016 School Year
.

The Main Event, LifeWay's Men's Conference
Now is the time to be thinking about attending the upcoming Men's Conference on July 22-23rd in Nashville TN. Guest speakers are pretty awesome including Tim Tebow.
.
Scott is definitely going and he'd like it to be a family event even though only men can attend the sessions. There's always Outlet Shopping or other ways to spend money for the ladies, or so Scott says. Oh, and there's no pressure on anything!
