FHHS Tech News You Can Use

Here are three things you should know to help you navigate the first few days of school:

1.Student passwords have all been reset.

Logging onto computers:


Student user names are the same as last year (astudentxxx with the xxx being the last three digits of their student number), but passwords have been reset. The new default password is Fhsdxxxxxx with xxxxxx being the full student number. Please note that the F is capitalized.


So for example, a student named Awesome Student with a student number of 123456 would be the following:


astudent456

Fhsd123456


Students may choose to change their passwords after they are logged in by clicking on control, alt, delete and choosing Change Password. New passwords must meet the following criteria: At least 8 characters, a capital letter, a lowercase letter, and either a number or a symbol. Please note that if a student changes their password it also changes it for their Google account!


Logging onto Google (including gmail):


Student user names are the same as last year (astudentxxx@g.fhsdschools.org with the xxx being the last three digits of their student number), Their password will be the same as they used to log on to the computer (Fhsdxxxxxx unless they changed it, then it will be whatever they changed it to).

2. Students only have one email address now.

Students no longer have an Outlook email account. The new student emails are as follows:

astudentxxx@g.fhsdschools.org. (Note: This is the same as their user name for signing into Google.)

3. New Chrome carts for classroom checkout.

We currently have 5 new Chrome carts for classroom check out! Four of the carts have 33 Chromebooks on them and one has 29. Chrome carts can be reserved from the link on the FHHS Learning Commons Homepage. You will need to sign into your Google account to reserve the carts.
