What is the biomolecule?
The bio-molecule is called protein. The primary functions of protein include building and repairing of body tissues, regulation of body processes and formation of enzymes and hormones. It also carries out some metabolism.
Monomer
The monomer of protein is amino acids. They are the building blocks of protein having 20 different types. This leaves the potential to build thousands of protein.
Polymer
The polymer of proteins is peptides. The function that a peptide carries out is dependent on which types of amino acids are involved in the chain. While peptides are involved in a number of ways in the body's chemistry, they can best be classified by their functions.
