Literature Genres
Genre is a French word for different types or kinds of artistic expression. Musical genres include classical, hip hop, jazz, pop, and rock music. Planning on going to a movie theater? An animated movie, action movie, or comedy might be playing. Think about finding books in our library - many of the books have genre labels on the spine or are organized in baskets by the type of book they are. Literature genres include: fantasy, historical fiction, mystery, science fiction, and traditional literature. Click here for a definition of the genre labels listed below.

Bio or Character Cube
