Labor Day
It's Labor Day on Monday the 4th of September. Enjoy the break and stay safe!
PTSA Corner
Wednesday the 6th of September is the PTSA Board meeting at 5pm.
Wednesday the 27th of September is the PTSA General Meeting and Special Election. We need a new Fundraising Chair, so come, stand and vote!
Kindle Kick Off Pep Rally
September 11, 12.15-2.55 pm, Gooch Auditorium. 3rd - 5th Grade Students.
A celebration of the Jiv Daya Foundation Step Initiative Kindle Grant. Every 3rd, 4th and 5th grade student will have a Kindle Fire to use in class so we can harness technology to support innovative and individualized teaching. A huge thank you to the Jiv Daya Foundation for making this possible.
We Have a New Playground!
A new play structure has been installed beside the basketball courts. We're looking forward to lots of fun on it!
Cool Schools Orientation Meeting
September 14, 3.30, Library
A meeting to begin planning for using our Cool Schools grant to make Gooch more beautiful.
Coffee with the Principal
September 15, 8.30-9.30 am in the Library. Come and chat with Principal Ashmore. Everyone welcome.
Education - Go Get It Week
Week of September 18. A week focused on helping our scholars go to college.
Gooch Elementary Site Based Decision Making (SBDM) Meeting
September 19, 4-5 pm, Library. A chance for Faculty, Parent, and Community Stakeholders to come together and make Gooch a great school.
Picture Day
September 22, 8-12.30 pm. Break out your fancy clothes for some adorable school pictures.
Title I Meeting
September 14. 5.30 pm. Auditorium. An informational meeting about how Title I funds are helping the educational mission at Gooch Elementary. All welcome.
