Job Description
You help house owners look at ways of improving their energy efficiency to reduce their CO2 emissions in small steps to a bigger picture. You do a lot of traveling to peoples houses and businesses. You also tell people if renewable energy would be a option for their house or business.
Education Needed to do the Job Sucessfully
College, Bachelors degree in Economics and International Development.
Salary Range
The salary range for a renewable energy advisor is about $55,000-$60,000 per year and $25-$30 per hour.
Advantages and disadvantages
Advantages-You are helping the environment by the way of cutting down CO2 emissions and you get better social skills because you talk to many people.
Disadvantages-The pay is not the greatest in the world.
Environmental relationship between the environment and job
You are advising people to use less CO2 and that is a greenhouse gas which acts as an oven would potentially causing a global warming and have many plants and animals die. Instead, you are advising people to use renewable energy(wind, solar, water, biomass, geothermal).
