Sports Media Students prove that THEY ARE TIGERS!

sports media 1

At PHS there is a new elective class available. Mrs. Collins introduced a new course titled Sports Media this year. Fifteen students are learning units in sports marketing and business, media technology, and even broadcasting! The above video was created as a rough draft during class. I can't wait to see what the final copy looks like! Way to go TIGERS!

The entire district is paying it forward this October with Socktober!

CCMS Student Council is hosting a sock war. It's a clever competition between all of the Tiger Hour classes. The students that bring socks, hats, gloves, and/or underwear receive points for each item! There is a point system and the winning advisory class will get a donut and hot cocoa party! How cool is this? If a student brings in a new package of underwear, they will get to sabotage a class of their choice and take away points from that class's total. Great idea middle schoolers!

Also, pending PHS football playoffs, there will be "Flicks on the Field" on October 28th. The PHS Student Council and Ellis Student Council will be playing Hocus Pocus @6 and a high school movie @8. The admission to "Flicks on the Field" is one pair or package of socks!

All of the items donated to be taken to the Noyes Home in St. Joseph, MO. The Tigers are PAYING IT FORWARD!

Fun at the Animal Shelter!

Daisy Troop 8083 collected donations for a local animal shelter and recently they got to pay a visit! They seemed to have a lot of fun!
