Conyers Campus - Week of Feb. 4th
CONYERS RE-ENROLLMENT FOR THE 2013-2014 SCHOOL YEAR SOARS TO 97%
We are so excited to report to you that our Conyers Peachtree Academy Re-Enrollment for 2013-2014, as of 7 PM Feb. 1st, was 97% retention. This is an awesome report for us and it is the best news ever! We will have a HUGE ice cream sundae party for re-enrolled students later in February to celebrate this success. WAY TO GO!
We thank God for His continued blessings on our school and for bringing us so many wonderful families like you. A 97% retention rate simply means that YOU love Peachtree Academy and appreciate the education that your child is receiving here. How smart you were to lock in your Loyal Panther tuition rate discount before Feb. 1, because you will save a lot of money by doing so. With our continued growth and expansion needs, we have been forced to implement a higher increase in tuition rates this year for all new incoming students.
Also, remember to spread the word about PA to your friends and family so that you can take advantage of a $100 credit for every new Peachtree Academy family that you have referred. Plus, the new family also gets a $100 credit too. So, spread the word.

Kindergarten Students Celebrate 100 Days of School
Pictured here are students Christopher, Kierston, Laura Kate and Addison from Mrs. Grady's KB class as they show off their 100 day projects. Additionally, students enjoyed dressing up as 100 year old people. Never a dull moment at Peachtree Academy.
Chapel is one of the most favorite times of our week.
Pictured here parents and students enjoy this week's Chapel program. Each month a different class, or grade is responsible for providing the Chapel program throughout that month. Students lead the student body as they sing praise and worship songs and the teacher of that class is responsible for presenting a lesson, or a guest speaker. It's always a great program and all parents and other family members are invited to attend.

SHOUT IT OUT
One thing that Mrs. Hughes is really good at is sharing her love for Peachtree Academy Private School with our community and telling parents that PA is the best school choice in the East Metro area for their 21st century students. Pictured here Mrs. Hughes speaks with prospective parents at the Newton County Chamber of Commerce "Taste of Newton" event which was held in the Fall of last year.
We have extended the yearbook deadline at the $38 price to Feb 7th.

Top Five Reasons for Your Child to Attend Peachtree Academy High School
It has been an exciting year for Peachtree Academy students and staff as we continue to provide a positive high school experience for our students. As we finalize enrollment for next year, we wanted to share with you what we believe are excellent reasons for your student to attend Peachtree Academy.
Top Five Reasons for Your Child to Attend
Peachtree Academy High School
1. Academics
At Peachtree Academy, the only tests that matter are college entrance exams.
We can afford to focus on teaching your child how to think, as opposed to teaching her what to think. That's an important concept to understand. Also, we can take the time to make sure students learn the content. If your child does not understand a math concept, the teacher will discover that pretty quickly. He can address that learning issue on the spot, rather than waiting weeks or months to fix it.
2. Small Classes
It's very difficult to hide or just be a number at Peachtree Academy.
Teacher to student ratios in our high school classes allow each student the opportunity to reach their full potential. This means that your child will not get lost in the shuffle. Each student will get the personal attention they deserve. Teachers develop personal relationships with students and can adjust instruction for individual needs. Most public schools have classes numbering 30-38 students.
3. A Balanced Program
Ideally, you want your child to have a balanced program in school and enjoy their high school experience.
A balanced program can be defined as equal parts; academics and extracurricular activities. At Peachtree Academy we strive to maintain that kind of balanced program. We encourage all students to participate in numerous activities, not limiting them to one or two sports, or one fine arts class, or group. Thursdays are reserved for "club" day to allow students to try new activities and interests such as equestrian club, dodge ball, crochet, card games, arts programs, rock band, and more!
4. It's Cool to Be Smart
At Peachtree Academy it's cool to be smart.
In many public schools the kids who are smart and want to learn are branded as nerds and become the objects of social ridicule. In our school it's cool to be smart. The smarter you are, the more the school will do its best to stretch your intellect and leadership skills to their maximum potential. That's one of the things Peachtree Academy does very well.
5. Focus on Personal Development
At Peachtree Academy our main focus is preparing students for their choice of college and career.
As a Christian school, we devote time to spiritual development while providing personal attention to the development of college portfolios that include evidence of high academic achievement, service and participation in church, school and community activities. Peachtree Academy is committed to helping students meet their highest academic dreams by providing multiple opportunities to earn high school credits while in middle school and college credits while still in high school. All high school students take Advanced Placement classes and can take college courses through dual enrollment at Georgia Perimeter College.
This is what students who have enrolled in Peachtree Academy from public high schools have to say:
"You can excel further and faster at Peachtree Academy. You don't have to wait on the other 32 students in your class."
"Peachtree Academy did not just put me in a class. They found out where I needed to be and challenged me."
"I am really challenged. You can learn more. I feel prepared for college and the future. Public schools get you ready to get out of high school and I feel that Peachtree Academy is preparing me for life."
