Turner Creek's Holiday Project
We have been excitedly working on Turner Creek’s Holiday Project, and we hope that you will join us in this season of giving!
Please review the information below as we have made a few changes to the program this year:
- If you would like to sponsor a child, please go to The TCE Holiday Project page and type your name next to the child.
- When you select a student to sponsor, you are responsible for everything for that student. We hope that each student will receive an outfit, a book, and a toy. Please also include a roll of wrapping paper so families can wrap the gifts.
- Please bring unwrapped gifts to the front office by ***Tuesday, December 3. With the gifts, please include a note with the Child Number so the gifts can be matched with the right students.
Please let us know if you have any questions, and we would be happy to assist. Thank you so much for supporting and loving our students during the holiday season!

Let’s help our Soldiers
In honor of Veteran's Day, the TCE Student Council representatives have come up with a great service project and they need your help! The project that we are hosting this year. It’s Fill the Footlocker (care packages for active duty military members) and we are partnering with Military Missions in Action, an agency located in Fuquay Varina. Once we collect and pack the items, they will ship the boxes to the members who are deployed around the world. How can you help? Submit a name if you have an active duty family member to your child’s teacher so that we can send them a box. Also, you can make cards or write letters to place in the boxes by turning it into your teacher so it can be stuffed the boxes.
Boxes are labeled and located near the door in the main hall. All items will be picked up on November 25.
We have divided the list by tracks. Please bring any of the following items;
Track 1: snacks, gum, water flavoring, trail mix, protein bars, cookies, hard candy, microwave popcorn. deodorant, lip balm, foot powder (non -aerosol)
Track 2: We plan to pack these boxes before you return to school please enjoy your track out!
Track 3: shampoo/conditioner) soap or body wash, baby wipes, combs/brushes, shaving cream (non-aerosol), hand sanitizer, toothbrush and toothpaste
Track 4: sunblock (non-aerosol) socks, playing cards, small games, pens/pencils, note pads, magazines, paperback books DVDs (none rated R)

PTA Advocacy Committee
Keeping tobacco out of our children’s hands has become even more challenging with news that more than 5 million high schoolers are using electronic cigarettes and 81% of them started with a flavored product like fruit, mint and menthol. Products like flavored e-cigarettes have helped fuel the new youth tobacco epidemic! On November 14, the Wake County PTA is hosting an event where you can learn about current legislative policies surrounding this issue and what you can do to advocate for change. The location is only 10 minutes from TCE and in the evening, all are welcome!

Box Tops and Tyson A+ Labels
Breaking news! No more clipping!! Traditional Box Tops clips are being phased out of production but may continue to be found on many products throughout the store. You can still clip these and send them to school. Just download the new Box Tops mobile app. Buy Box Tops products….Scan your receipt….Earn cash for Turner Creek! A picture of the new label is pictured to the left. We’ve earned $40 via the app since it was announced in June.
Great Job Turner Creek! We collected $497 in Box Tops since March! The next round of Box Tops will be mailed off at the end of February 2020. Please make sure they have valid dates (dated 3/1/2020 and beyond). If the Box Top is expired, we have to throw them away! The Box Tops collection bin is in the TCE lobby across from the main office. Box Tops are each worth 10¢ and they quickly add up to real cash for our school. Here is a link showing participating Box Tops products.
Clip Tyson Project A+ labels from participating Tyson® product packages and send them to school with your child. We’ll collect the labels and send them to Tyson Foods, and Tyson Foods will send our school a check. Each label is worth 24¢!
Please drop your Tyson Project A+ labels in the Box Tops collection bin in the TCE lobby. Here is a link for a list of participating products.

Help TCE PTA earn $100
Even if you have linked your Harris Teeter VIC card to our school in the past, you must re-link it each summer for the school to earn money when you shop at Harris Teeter. Last year, we raised nearly $600 simply by our families linking their VIC cards to TCE.
For detailed instructions on how to link-up, please visit
Fundraising while Shopping - Turner Creek Elementary - PTA
This year we are hoping to surpass our past income from these programs and use these funds to support our school. Every time you patronize one of the online or local businesses listed below TCE PTA benefits by receiving a monetary donation!
