Service Learning Week
Our learners created over 50 cards and over 45 placemats that will be given to residents of an assisted living facility.
Shouting out the SONID (Service Ninjas) from Miller during Service Learning Week. They shared about their project to build footbridges in Uganda with their peers this week.
The Miller DI Biofighters are planting trees for Midlothian! During Service Learning Week, they’re encouraging their friends to do the same.

The plan is for installation to occur before the end of the school year, but there are still some steps we have to complete (approval through maintenance department, approval through school board, and then the work can begin-ish). I will keep you all apprised of our progress but am excited to see this happen!

State of Texas Anniversary Remembrance Day - February 19: State of Texas Anniversary Remembrance Day (STAR Day), in honor of Texas joining the Union and the day that James Pinckney Henderson became the first governor of the state of Texas in 1846. STAR Day shall be regularly observed by appropriate and patriotic programs in the public schools to properly commemorate the annexation of this state and to inspire a greater appreciation for the history of this state.
