ESS Weekly Family Update

Week ending 1/7/2022

Update from Mrs. Weber

Thank you for your patience this week with all the changes with school schedules and bussing issues. I know it is frustrating, please know that as soon as I know something I will share it. Following Mr. Saranich on Twitter is a great way to get information quickly as well as text alerts from NBC 30.

As a result of changes from the State regarding Covid-19 protocols-the following will be in effect:

  • we are no longer contact tracing or doing screen/stay-if your child has a school exposure, a letter will be sent home with your child. We ask that you follow the guidelines outlined in the letter when they can return based on your child's current vaccination status
  • you do NOT have to have a negative test to return if your child is out 3 consecutive days or more
  • If your child has symptoms of COVID or has been directly exposed to someone with a confirmed COVID case, we have limited test kits available. Please email myself or nurse Judy to obtain one
  • Please reach out to Nurse Judy ( with any questions you may have

Incoming Kindergarten Registration-will take place beginning February first. Children who will be 5 by December 31, 2022 are eligible for registration. Please call the school (203-929-1330) to set up a registration appointment. Students DO NOT need to attend the registration appointment. A Parent information meeting will take place with Bus Safety Day-as soon as I have that date (typically the Friday before the first day of school) I will share. Please let any friends and neighbors know about the days as well.

Have a great rest of the week and the weekend-Mrs. Weber
