Palm Sunday Procession
We will start gathering approximately 10 minutes prior to each service (back of Sanctuary and back of GV) and will process in during the opening hymn/song.
Lenten Airlines Good Friday, April 14, 4 pm
All kids are invited to board Lenten Airlines on Friday, April 14th at 4 p.m. as we travel to Jerusalem. Kid will get to experience the Upper Room with the disciples, spend time with Jesus in the The Garden, and meet Garcias, a Roman soldier. An interactive trip your child will not forget.
Parable of the Good Samaritan Luke 10:25-37
“Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other;
let us show the truth by our actions”
(1 John 3:18)..
Jesus tells a story to show that Jesus-followers care for others. In Jesus’ story, a man is hurt on the side of the road, but two people just walk on by. A third man helps the injured man and gets him to an inn where he can receive care.
Family Together Time
Challenge everybody to do one of the following to build empathy for people in need. Choose something that’ll take you out of your comfort zone, such as
- Take a cold shower
- Sleep on the floor with no pillow
- Skip a meal
- Eat lunch alone
- Pray for people who need care. Think about the activity you chose as you pray.
- At the end of the week, tell each other how it went.
- Remind your family that Jesus-followers care for others—especially people in need.
Talk About This…Tell about someone who’s cared for you.
