CFIE Mission:
IMPORTANT REMINDERS FOR THE WEEK AHEAD!
- Attention Hand to Hand/Walker Pick-up Parents - if you have younger children with you waiting for dismissal of your child, please make sure they are near you and, on the hand-to-hand side, they not running up the ramps/stairs to the trailers/learning cottages - there is still instruction going on up to dismissal time and this is a distraction to that learning. On the walker side, we have seen young children/toddlers playing around the backside of cafeteria where there is equipment that they could possibly get hurt - young children need to stay with their parent as they wait for sibling.
- December 12th - 16th - Holiday Spirit Week (see calendar of events below on suggested attire to wear each day- remember all attire worn on campus by students and adults must be appropriate for school).
- December 13th - all Eagle tree presents should be wrapped and brought to the school by this date.
- December 16th - K-2 performances - parents invited: 1st Grade program - 10:30 am; Kindergarten program - 12:00 pm; 2nd Grade program - 2:00 pm.
- December 16th - last day to pick up clothing from lost and found.
- December 19-January 2 - Winter Break
- Please keep your child's lunch account up to date so they have enough money on their account to purchase their breakfast/lunch and, if you allow, snacks can be purchased too- OCS Nutrition makes it easy by having a way to make payments online!
PLEASE CLAIM LOST & FOUND ITEMS before 12/16/22!
The SRO Beat with Officer Smith!
Crosswalk Update - Thank you for answering the call from previous newsletters to not block the crosswalks leading to the school! Your commitment to keeping our students safe is greatly appreciated!
Holiday Shopping Safety - (from Jacksonville Public Safety social media post)
"It's that time of year again, and our officers (including CFIE's SRO, Officer Smith) are taking up extra patrol duties on foot, bike, and car as part of our Holiday Task Force to help keep our citizens safe as they embark on their holiday shopping. If you see something suspicious, don't hesitate to report it.
The Jacksonville Police Department offers the following tips to shoppers:
*Park in well-lit areas
*Shop in groups
*Conceal packages in trunks
*Report suspicious people or activities immediately
*Carry bags or purses in your hands rather than on your shoulder or back
*Don't leave purses in shopping carts
*People carrying cash should be discreet - Don't flash money when purchasing gifts
Jacksonville Police Department reminds everyone to Hide-Lock-Take. Hide your belongings. Lock your car. Take your keys. Happy Holidays to all!"
