Kirk Fenton News
18th January 2019
Dear Parents / Carers,
This week has again been very busy. Our Year three and four children have spent a great day at the Royal Armouries today learning all they can about the Anglo Saxons. As always, they have represented the values of our school (Respect, perseverance, thankfulness and forgiveness) very well and it is lovely to hear the comments from members of the public and volunteers regarding their behaviour.
The whole school enjoyed the visiting pantomime on Monday and I am very grateful to the Friends of Kirk Fenton for providing this entertainment for the children. It was a fabulous show with all the usual mayhem and songs that a good panto brings.
Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Karen Williams

Pantomime
This Monday the children got to enjoy a pantomime performance in school, funded by Friends. We hope they all had a great time seeing live actors and the interactive, modernised version of Snow White which included a rendition of baby shark, and some teacher 'volunteers' flossing, to their delight!
Curry Night
An important part of our remit is to provide memorable community events, not just to raise money for the school... so we have organised a curry night on Tuesday 19th February. Please see the poster below and get your childcare booked. Or why not leave the other half at home and organise a group of friends or neighbours to come along? It promises to be great fun with a super hamper to be raffled off at each event, containing lots of tempting goodies... the committee will also be on hand to hear your views on how we should be supporting the school.
As always, please get in touch with any queries or opinions: friendsofkirkfenton@gmail.com
