All learning materials are due on Monday, June 7th. Parents will need to bring the items to Cowlishaw. Please be sure to place ALL of the items in a plastic bag and attach a piece of paper clearly written with your child’s name and classroom on it. You can drop the bag off at Door #1 anytime between 8:15am-1:00pm.

2021-22 Distance Learning Application

In accordance with Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) guidance, District 204 will provide distance learning for students who have a medical condition or live with a person with a medical condition that is compromised due to COVID19.

A student may qualify for distance learning under the following circumstances:
- Student has a medical condition that places him/her at increased risk of serious illness.
- Student has special healthcare needs.
- Student lives with person/people at increased risk of serious illness.

To assist in our planning for next year, we are asking parents/guardians requesting distance learning for their student(s) to complete the form below by June 4, 2021. Forms should be returned to 204distancelearning@ipsd.org.

De acuerdo con el guía de la Junta de Educación del Estado de Illinois (ISBE), el Distrito 204 proporcionará aprendizaje a distancia para los estudiantes que tengan una condición médica o que vivan con una persona con una condición médica comprometida debido a COVID19.

Un estudiante puede calificar para aprendizaje a distancia en las siguientes circunstancias:

- El estudiante tiene una condición médica que lo pone en mayor riesgo de enfermedad grave.
- El estudiante tiene necesidades especiales de atención médica.
- El estudiante vive con personas con mayor riesgo de enfermedad grave.

Boundary Adjustment Planning

District 204 is planning for boundary adjusments. A committee of district stakeholders will be established to review enrollment trends, develop boundary scenarios, host community forums, and recommend a plan to the Board of Education. The committee will have representatives from each school as well as the community at large. If you are interested in volunteering, please provide your information here.

The committee will begin meeting July 7, 2021 to examine scenarios and evaluate the options. The community will have the opportunity to review the scenarios and provide constructive feedback at public forums in November 2021. The committee will use the public feedback to consider how it can be integrated into the plan.

The board will vote on the plan in early 2022 for implementation in the 2022-23 school year.

En el taller del 17 de mayo de 2021, la Junta de Educación estableció un cronograma para determinar los ajustes de los límites de colindancias a fin de equilibrar la inscripción en las 33 escuelas del distrito. Se establecerá un comité de partes interesadas del distrito para revisar las tendencias de inscripción, desarrollar escenarios de colindancias, albergar foros comunitarios y recomendar un plan a la Junta de Educación. El comité tendrá representantes de cada escuela y de la comunidad en general. Si está interesado en ser voluntario, proporcione su información aquí.

El comité comenzará a reunirse el 7 de julio de 2021 para examinar escenarios y evaluar las opciones. Incoming Kindergartners

Online Registration Is OPEN!

Online registration for new and returning students for the upcoming school year is open. Parents and guardians will use ParentVue’s online registration portal.

Complete registration information, including an FAQ, is available online.

Summer Meal Program

Meals free of charge will continue to be available for all students through the summer. Summer meal distribution will start on June 15th and run through August 5th. Meals will be distributed Monday-Thursday from 10:00-1:00.

REMINDER for In Person Families

Families need to use ParentVUE to self-certify that students coming on campus are free of COVID-like symptoms. Each school day families login to ParentVUE, you will see a screen asking you to self-certify that your child is symptom free. This must be done each day by 8:15 am prior to your child arriving at school. If this step is not completed and your child is at school, a health services staff member will call you to discuss your child’s health status. We ask that you please monitor your child’s health closely and keep them home if they aren’t feeling well. You can report your child’s absence using ParentVUE after completing the self-certification process.

LMC Book Check Out

Curbside LMC Book Check out

Students can put a book(s) on hold through the Destiny app on the SSO.

Please note we have a new self-service procedure for our remote students. Students and parents can now collect requested LMC books from the red cart outside the main door ANYTIME during school hours Monday-Friday.Students and parents still need to wait for an email notification before coming to pick up requested books.

LMC books may be returned ANYTIME during school hours to the blue bin by the main door.

If your child is in person learning, requested books will be delivered directly to the classroom. The hybrid learners can return their LMC books when in school.

Free Meals During Remote Learning

Organic Life and District 204 will continue serving free meals to all children to help ensure children have access to nutritious food as the COVID-19 pandemic continues. Students that are attending in person will receive their meals at lunchtime. Organic Life will continue to provide curbside pick-up at elementary schools of grab and go meals to remote learners at the following times:

  • 10 AM – 11 AM: First Remote Learner Meal Service Time
  • 1:00 – 2:00 PM: Second Remote Learner Meal Service Time


As we bring the 20 - 21 School Year to a Close, the PTA would like to Thank Each and Every Student, Teacher, and Parent for All the hard work and support this year! It was tough but We had the Koalist time serving You All!
