Reflection Corner

Readings: “No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other. You cannot give yourself to God and money.” Luke 16:13

Reflection: The Church teaches us that generous giving is connected with alms giving – the sharing of our financial and material resources with those in need. The enemy of generosity is greed and making the security and comforts the center of our life. Have you experienced the joy of blessing others with the gifts and resources God has given you?

Prayer: Lord Jesus, all that I have is a gift from you. May I love you generously with all that I have. Help me to be responsible in fulfilling my duties through the rich resources you have given me including the use of my time, money, and possessions.

Virtue of the Month

The Virtue of the Month for September is Commitment. Please continue having conversations with your class about what commitment is, what it looks like, what it sounds like, what it feels like.

Here are bible verses on commitment you may want to use in your discussions with students.
