Counselor Spotlight- Meet the Counselors
Ms. Bankhead
Hello! I am Ebony Bankhead, and I will be serving as the 6th grade counselor. This will be my 5th year in education, and most of those years has been here at Forest Creek. I look forward to working with all students and families this year to make this the easiest transition to middle school. Please let me know if you need anything or have questions or concerns. Let’s have a fantastic year together!
Ms. Chrismon
Hi! My name is Amanda Chrismon and I will be the 7th grade counselor this year. I am so excited to start my first year as a school counselor here at Forest Creek. I’m from Rock Hill, SC and love to spend my time reading, listening to music, cross-stitching, and being with friends! I’m here to help with any questions or issues you may have, so please don’t hesitate to reach out. I have a feeling this is going to be a great year and I can’t wait to meet everyone!

FCMS COUNSELING DEPARTMENT WEBPAGE
CHARACTER TRAIT RECOGNITION: PATIENCE
Throughout the year, your child will learn about different character traits. The character trait we will focus is on PATIENCE. Patience is self-control. Responding with our values and beliefs rather than our impulses or immediate feelings. Students will learn about patience and how to apply it in their everyday life through classroom lessons and various resources posted in the grade level guidance Google Classroom.
VERIFICATIONS DUE BY APRIL 26TH
8th grade students should have received a green verification sheet from CRHS. If there are changes that need to be made, please return the green verification form with the requested course to Mrs. Pruett no later than April 26th. No requests or changes will be taken after this date. Please reach out to Mrs. Pruett with any questions.
STAYING MOTIVATED
It's hard to believe that we are in the final stretch of the school year. Between the time change, extracurricular activities, testing and "all the things", it can become very hard to stay motivated. Here are a few tips to help your child with staying motivated to finish the year strong.
ORGANIZATION
Organization Help
We see a lot of students who need help with organization. Organization is a skill that takes time to develop. Check out this article that provides ideas for staying organized as a student.
STRESS TIPS
OUTSIDE COUNSELING RESOURCES
