Week of April 18, 2016
Principal Points
This week was National Assistant Principal's Week. I truly appreciate all that Mrs. Stock and Mr. Niemeyer do for CMS. When you get a chance, let them know how much you appreciate all they do for CMS. They both truly do make CMS a great place!!
We finished the week with Lauren Cook, also known as The Sunny Girl, speaking to the entire student body. What an amazing message and what an amazing young lady!
Have a wonderful weekend!

SUMMER SCHOOL COURSES
Before a student can register for summer school, the student must meet with a counselor. There is a form that the student will need to turn into the counseling office. All forms are due by Thursday, May 26th. Students will then be able to register online the next day.
High School Credits that Middle School Students Can Take in Summer School - The only course offered in summer school for students going 6th to 7th and 7th to 8th is Touch Systems Data Entry. There is a fee to take a summer school course. Please keep in mind that summer school has a money commitment and a time commitment. You must make plans to attend class everyday. Students going from 8th to 9th have more summer school courses available.
Please look at the website for further detail. http://www.gcisd-k12.org/Page/32272
SIXTH and SEVENTH GRADE
A reminder to 7th graders going to 8th – Latin I, German I, French I, and Chinese I are taught on the high school campuses during zero hour. Your parent will have to take you to the high school by 7:30-7:40 every morning. A bus will bring you back to the campus in time for 2nd period at CMS. Please make sure that your parents are willing to take on this commitment before signing up for one of these courses.
SIXTH AND SEVENTH COURSE VERIFICATION LETTERS
Course verification letters were sent home Friday, April 1 through 6th period classes. This is not a schedule. This is a letter verifying the courses selected. Students do not need to return the letter unless there needs to be a change. Please follow instructions and verify the change. These are due back by April 15th, if there is a change.
