Welcome Back!
I am excited and grateful to be starting my third year as Director of Athletics and Extra Curricular Activities here in Lower Moreland Township School District. The last two years have really given me an opportunity to be exposed to this exceptional school district and all of the tremendous athletes, staff, students, and parents. Please remember to look at lmtsdathletics.com for all of the up to date information in regards to schedules, notifies you when games are changed, and keeps you in the loop with how our sports teams are doing. Please follow the directions below to sign up and get updates.
We have also moved to FamilyID full time this fall, which has proven to be extremely beneficial to our athletic department and coaches. This technology friendly site allows you, the parents, to register your children for sports, and information carries over between seasons instead of filling out the same paperwork season after season.

Fall Sports Are Underway
Football - Season Preview
The team has 6 seniors on the team this year, including 4 year players Pat Whittle and Christian Long. The team also welcomes back Joe Kelly, and looks for John Sheridan to fill in the void as playmaker.
The team started camp earlier this year then ever before, beginning on August 5th. The team has put in a lot of effort and time into improving on a daily basis, and Coach Beck says that the program is heading in the right direction. With a more regimented off season conditioning and lifting program this year, the team is in better shape heading into the season. There is also a young nucleus of athletes that are on the rise to help continue to build the program.
The team opened up with a tough loss to Academy of Palumbo, but looks to bounce back in their home opener Friday 8/30. The game will start at Noon at Mark V. Mayson Stadium.
Other Key Games:
9/13 7 PM vs. Jenkintown
10/12 2:30 PM vs. George School Homecoming
10/18 7 PM vs. New Hope Solebury @ Upper Moreland
10/25 7 PM vs. Bristol Senior Night
Girls Tennis - Season Preview
The girls are looking strong as they begin the 2019 season. We only graduated one senior (Eliabeth Berzin - 4 time district champion, state silver medalist in team & doubles, and team captain for 2 years) and having a few promising freshman vying to play varsity, our season looks promising. We have started the season with great wins against all AAA opponents, beating Council Rock North, Abington and C.B. East.
The lady lions have a strong singles line-up with state single champion, Nicole Lisovyy at first singles and our captains Ally Cheiken and Maeve McErlean playing second and third singles. We are still working on finding the best doubles teams possible from a strong group of returning players - seniors Lauren Oblon, Nicole Stone, Juliana Litz, Rachel Brodsky, Audrey Kim and Erica Stone. Promising freshmen looking for a spot on varsity are Sarah Kideckel, Madison Sopinsky and Lexi Moore.
Long-time coach Jeanette Hausman has been coaching the girls team for 30+ years and is joined by a great assistant coach in Amy Titus, both optimistic about the season. Tennis is a unique blend of individual and team play. The team has strong individual players and the goal of the coaches and captains is to unite the girls as a team. The team always looks forward to playing our strongest league opponent, New Hope and playing many AAA non-league opponents to stay strong for post-season play. Although the girls take one match at a time, their goal is to win a 5th consecutive league and district 1 AA title and return to the state championships in Hershey.

Competitive Spirit - Season Preview
Part of the squad attended Pine Forrest Cheer Camp back in mid-August not only to improve on stunts and routines, but took the opportunity to come together as a team. The team performed nightly in camp competitions and took home the Spirit Stick on night 1. The Lions squad also brought home the 2019 Superior UCA trophy from the camp, which earned them an invitation to the Citrus Bowl.
The team has been working hard at practices leading up to the first football game and looks to be out there to support the team all season long. Look for their routines at half time of our football games.

Senior Adam Aloush will see significant minutes as the season progresses. Juniors Colin Clark, and Javin Cooper along with returning sophomore Braden Alicea will look to help get the Lions back into the district playoffs after a heartbreaking loss to Phoenixville in overtime last season. The Lions will look to a handful of other returning Sophomores and a few talented Freshman to fill holes left by the graduating seniors from last season.

There are a host of other returning players who saw valuable time on the pitch in 2018 who will be key in the success for the program.
